Project Gallery
Over the last 25 years we have had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of landscape solutions. Please enjoy this gallery with some of our recent projects complete with photos and details of the process.
Adding features to a Finished yard
The grading and sodding were done before we got here.
The beds where marked out then the sod had to be lifted. When digging for any pupose the lines should be located so that no damage is done.
Good soil is added to a good depth (more than 4") to ensure there is good root growth. Make sure there is enough edging to go around all beds, remembering the piecing and cutting.
The shrubs and tree are planted before the edging is put in. This is done so that the edging isn't damaged by equipment. The tall shrubs are good for making a privacy screen
At least 4" of Bark Mulch is added to minimize weeds. Fabric is not needed with the correct thickness of wood mulch.
Along the edge of the house sod grows poorly so a good ideas is to put a shrub bed there.
Before digging the bed, pipes and wire should be located.
Potentilla are good for this location because of the lack of moisture. Mulch is added, this also helps the water retention.
Mark out where the tree is going to be located the make an even sdge around that. Because of the depth of the hole the tree needs, be sure to locate unilities. Plywood is put down so the bobcat doesn't wreck the grass.
With the soil in place the shrubs can be planted. During transport the root balls should not dry out and after planting the shrubs should be watered in. When watering a tree ensure the whole root ball is watered. It is best to leave the hose on a slow trickle and let it soak in. The Dwarf Globe Spruce addes a different color to the bed.
