Project Gallery
Over the last 25 years we have had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of landscape solutions. Please enjoy this gallery with some of our recent projects complete with photos and details of the process.
Adding the design features to the yard of a newly built house
The sub grade before anything is started, is compact and the grade drains away from the house.
Excavating the pond, pile the extra soil where the the bio falls is going to be placed. 2 shelves are made for stablizing the walls and for water plants to be placed on.
The underlay goes against the soil to protect the liner from roots/ rocks or any sharp objects in the soil. Liner is placed over the underlay then 4" to 12" boulders are used to line the verticle walls. Smaller rocks are used to cover the horizontal surfaces. For a sitting spot or somewhere to feed the fish large boulders are used to finish the edges
After placing the biofalls and skimmer the liner is sealed to the openings. The wiring and hoses are placed so that they won't get damaged. Add a layer of topsoil covers the hoses and wires. Once everthing is placed and hooked up then it is time to fill it with water and test it.
Small Boulders can be added to get a more rushing stream vs. a calm stream. Colorful plants are added to the landscape around the pond and water plants are added to the pond.
Fabric is put around the plants then rocks are added as mulch.
With a paving stone patio beside the pond, it creates a space to enjoy the peaceful sound of the water fall and enjoy the fish.
Install the plastic edging around the bed then use that as a guide to trench the sprinkler lines
Using fabric under the rock will reduce maintenance by restricting weeds.
With the trees and shrubs planted and the features completed everything is coming together.
The new sod finishes the yard. Adding some lights and statuary adds some details to the yard.
The cement patio is expanded by using patio blocks.
With the patio expanded there is room for a shelter over the hot tub.
A completed yard is ready to enjoy.
The front yard before any topsoil or landscaping is done.
A paving stone walk leads to the backyard.
An arch frames the gate to the back yard making it more inviting.
