Over the last 25 years we have had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of landscape solutions. Please enjoy this gallery with some of our recent projects complete with photos and details of the process.
New waterfall and pond at Classic Landscapes
Before all the construction began. Fall 2009
Removing some bouders to prepare for construction.
Materials to make a compact base.
Digging and grading so the pond will be level.
Start of the pond.
First level is finished.
Bottom of the pond is being dug.
Compacting the shelf where the large rocks are going to sit.
Building up the dirt for the waterfall.
Laying down the underlay and liner.
Fitting the liner to the contours and trimming around the perimeter.
Putting the boulders on the compacted shelf.
Liner flipped up and a little backfilling is done.
A second layer of boulders added to the back of the pond.
The waterfall liner is attatched to the pond liner behind the second later of boulders.
Boulders are placed and backfilled behind to support the falls.
Standing where the falls are, looking into the pond.
Adding layers of boulders to achieve the height of the waterfall.
Compacting the backfill behind the falls.
Creating the shape of the pond.
Underlay goes down before the liner.
Boulders hold the underlay and liner in place and create the middle pond walls.
Adding layers of boulders to form the top waterfall.
Smaller top/first pond.
Finishing the top layer of the pond.
Doing the last bit of work for the winter.
Construction of the pond and falls continue in the spring of 2010
Boulders are built up on the sides and smaller rocks are placed between them.
The rock work is nearly complete.
