Committed to Each Other
Analogy: A Rugby Team Scrum
8 players bind themselves together, parallel to their goal, with greater strength, power, and stability achieved by their connection.
This value highlights the idea of teamwork, loyalty, and being "All In". Being fully immersed from the start to the end. Willing to work through issues for the good of the team, and once we engage with a customer we are committed to serving them to the best of our abilities. We show continued commitment by making clear steps to evaluate our progress, improve ourselves and our capacity.
Anti-value (Opposite):
Not focused on the greater good by sustaining a narrow point of view, and elevating our own wants over that of the team. Unwilling to acknowledge and work through differences.
Fanatically Driven to Succeed
Analogy: African Wild Dogs
These animals are the most successful predators in the world with a success rate of 85%. Their success stems from planning, precision, and teamwork with results 25% higher than the second place predator who hunts alone.
An incurable need to produce sustained results.
Fanatically driven to succeed means being unwilling to compromise for anything less than success and being tenacious in every step of the way on the path necessary for success. Our fanaticism needs to be decisively centered on principle by beginning with the end in mind, and maintaining the persistence needed to hit the mark. We choose to dig an amazing hole two feet deep and sixty inches wide because we have a beautiful tree that needs our efforts to be planted properly. Then the fanatic comes to the surface and we dig that hole as fast and efficiently as possible.
Anti-value (Opposite):
Complacency, accepting the status quo as 'good enough' without reaching for a higher standard. Deviating from the path that leads to the desired result.
Top Quality Results
Analogy:
Quality = confidence, power, willingness to be wrong, accepting, flexible
Perfection = doubt, fear, having to be right, judgmental, rigid
Top quality means as good as, or better than, anything else available. It does not mean perfection. The world around us is ever-changing and imperfect, and to achieve top quality results sometimes you need to sacrifice perfection. Continually recognizing excellence, and embracing a higher level of care, establishes the foundation of a company that is built to last.
Anti-value (Opposite):
Poor quality results. Cutting corners to make money. Quantity over quality.
Do the Right Thing
Analogy:
Children's Song quote:
"Do what is right, let the consequences follow."
Stop, evaluate, and do what is right. Always. Govern our actions with integrity and do what we should even when no one is watching. When we don't know what is right, the right thing to do is ask someone who might. We want people who have a moral compass and follow it.
Anti-value (Opposite):
Do the wrong thing. Letting other's expectations dictate our behavior.
