Container weight: 50g | Ample 50g seed covers 500 SqFt.
Note: This seed mix contains a higher ratio of milled rice hulls to help evenly distribute the tiny seeds when scattered. Before opening, shake the can thoroughly to ensure proper mixing, allowing for well-spaced plant growth.
How to Plant: Plant seeds in early spring as soon as the ground is workable, using ordinary garden soil in a full-sun location. In mild climates where the ground does not freeze hard, seeds can also be sown in late fall to overwinter and bloom the following spring. To prepare the planting area, clear away weeds, grass, and large stones. Break up soil clumps and loosen the top 2 inches of soil with a digging fork or shovel, then smooth the surface with a flat rake. Shake the can thoroughly before opening, then scatter the seed mix thinly and evenly over the prepared soil. Use a rake to lightly cover the seeds with about 1/4 inch of soil, then gently firm the surface. Water thoroughly with a fine mist, ensuring even coverage. Keep the soil consistently moist during germination and while seedlings are small.
Growing Notes: Once mature, wildflowers can tolerate some dry conditions but will flourish and bloom for a longer period with regular watering. For indoor bouquets, harvest flowers as they begin to open. At the end of the season, allow spent flowers to form seed pods and drop their seeds naturally for blooms the following spring.
