West Coast Seeds Eiffel Scallions Onion Seeds
This strong, upright-growing Lisbon type scallion has little or no bulbing at the root end. Eiffel has a mild, crisp, appealing flavour. Sow short rows every two weeks from April to the end of September for scallions all year long. 65 days, OP.

Timing: Sow indoors in early spring, and transplant 4-6 weeks later. Direct sow short rows at 2-3 intervals from late spring to the end of summer.
Seeding: Sow seeds 5mm-1cm (1/4-1/2") deep, 2-5cm (1-2") apart, in rows 15cm (6") apart.
Growing: Fertile and well-drained soil is best for scallions. Add well-rotted manure or compost and dig 1/2-1 cup complete organic fertilizer into each 3m (10') of row. Keep high moisture level in the top 20-30cm (8-12") of soil. Bulbing types will form bulbs just at the surface of the soil. Non-bulbing types can be grown in shallow trenches, with soil added as plants mature to increase the blanched (white) area at the base of the stem. Provide frost protection for winter harvest scallions.
