West Coast Seeds Indigo Rose Main Season Tomato Seeds
These medium sized saladette tomatoes start life green like any other, but mature to such a dark purple they are nearly black. High acid content is balanced perfectly by sweet, fruity flavour. Semi determinate plants. 80 days, OP.

Smaller determinate varieties (bush) have a concentrated fruit set. Indeterminate types (vines) need to be staked or trellised.
Timing: Sow indoors 5-6 weeks before transplanting out. Only move outdoors once night time temperatures are reliably above 10°C (50°F).
Seeding: Sow seeds 1cm (1/2") deep in individual pots, using a sterile seed starter mix. Soil temperature should be at least 21°C (70°F). Bottom heat speeds germination. Pot up into larger pots as needed.
Growing: To reduce legginess, provide strong light close to the seedlings, and use a fan to provide air circulation. Mix one cup of balanced organic fertilizer into the soil beneath each transplant. Protect plants from rain and overhead watering to prevent disease.
