This uniform and vigorous hybrid has large, light green bulbs and firm white flesh. These can reach 15cm (6") wide without losing any flavour or light texture. This All America Selections winner was fast and uniform in the summer field trials. 50 days, F1.

Timing: Direct sow regularly after the last frost date for a mature crop in about 8 weeks. Sow again mid- to late summer for a fall crop.
Seeding: Sow seeds 5mm (1/4") deep, 10-15cm (4-6") apart in rows 30-45cm (12-18") apart. Seeds should sprout in 7-10 days.
Growing: Kohlrabi prefers well-drained, fertile soil that is high in organic matter, with a pH of 6.0 to 6.8. This heavy feeder also needs plentiful, consistent moisture. Mix 1/4-1/2 cup of balanced organic fertilizer with added lime into each 1.5m (5') of row. Use floating row cover to protect from insects.
