Timing: Direct sow short rows every three weeks in spring, and again in late summer for fall harvest. Pac Choi does best in cool soil. Optimal soil temperature for germination: 20-25°C (68-77°F).
Seeding: Sow the fertile seeds 5mm-1cm (1/4-1/2") deep. Seeds should germinate in 5-10 days. Thin to 15-20cm (6-8") apart and keep moist until established.
Growing: Nearly any relatively fertile soil in full sun will suit pac choi, which grows very quickly. Treat as cut-and-come-again, or allow plants to mature to their full size. Harvest at the first sign of bolting. Keep well-watered and feed with a water soluable fertilizer at least once during growth.
