West Coast Seeds Wildfire Wild Arugula Seeds
Wildfire has a beautiful sweet flavour followed by a mild peppery kick. Bright green, slightly serrated leaves grow upright instead of spreading out on the ground. It is slow to bolt, and well suited for container growing. 35-49 days. OP.
Approx. 1770 seeds
Timing: Start indoors 2-4 weeks before the last frost and transplant out in late spring.
Seeding: Sow the tiny seeds shallowly, barely covered with soil. Keep them warm and damp. Germination is slow, so be patient.
Growing: Wild arugula has a sprawling habit and feathery, deeply cut leaves. Space plants 10-15 cm (4-6") apart in row 30cm (12") apart. Remember that this perennial will re-emerge in spring so keep the planted area clearly marked over winter. Keeping plants cut will encourage new, more tender growth. Trim the young leaves with scissors as needed.
Seed Specs: Usual seed life: 3 years.
