West Coast Seeds YaYa Carrot Seeds
This smooth skinned, uniform 18cm (7") carrot performs all season long. It has incredible flavour in summer and gets even sweeter after forst. The strong tops are good for bunching. It is a customer favourite year after year. 65-70 days, F1.

Timing: Direct sow from early spring to mid-summer at 3 week intervals for a longer harvest window.
Seeding: Dig soil deeply. Water deeply prior to planting. The trick is to keep to soil surface damp during the long germination period (14 to 21 days). Direct sow the tiny seeds 5mm (1/4") deep and lightly firm the soil. Make sure the seeds are only just buried, and water regularly to maintain moist soil during germination. Pelleted carrot seeds require even more moisture during this period.
Growing: Carrots prefer a rich, well-drained, and deeply cultivated bed. The ideal pH range is 6.0 to 6.9. Thin carrot seedlings to 4-10cm (1 1/2-4") apart when seedlings are 2cm (1") tall. Use wider spacing for larger carrots.
